I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. What a great month of celebrations we had here at the Midnight Madness blog. I wanted to thank my DT , players and followers alike for making this so much fun and for being so sweet with your comments and for inspiring so many with your creations. I am looking forward to the next year of creations from all of you. We still have the Blogaversary Candy to give away. Wow..so many entries to. Thank you everyone for helping spread the word about our celebrations here. I have to go through my emails because some of you requested to enter the Candy giveaway even though you had no blog. Many said they emailed there friends etc and..I did say "Everyone" can enter, so if you want to just link this blog (http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com) to Mr. Linky that is fine with me. ( I should have said that..sorry) I have started entering those that have requested that and have many emails to go through. I got hooked on stamping in 1999 when a friend of mine sent a birthday card invitation for her son. I so admired it that I made the mistake, or fortune, to ask her about it. I was then invited to a stamp party and never looked back as I'm sure most of your know the drill on that one!! The main reason I first got into stamping was to scrapbook events and activities for my 2-year old son who has autism to assist with his language and communication skills. He is now almost 12 - I can't believe it!! I was a legal secretary for years and needed a creative outlet. So, it served 2 purposes. It, of course, didn't help my financial situation at all, but that's another story!! It then shifted more to cards several years ago. I found that when I handmade a card for my friends, family, church members and my son's school staff I could brighten their day and make them feel "special", for whatever occasion it happened to be, or comfort when they needed it. My craft room has grown CONSIDERABLY as I'm sure all of yours have too. It's great therapy for me and I've met some of the most incredible people EVER! The first challenge I did for Midnight Madness opened up doors for me that I didn't know existed insofar as my creativity and evolvement. I tried my first Midnight Madness sketch after I saw a card Lovely Linda created and she posted the link to Midnight Madness. From the first card I created from Prisicilla's groundbreaking sketches, I felt "at home". I'm not sure why that happened as Priscilla creates the most phenomenal "vintage" cards, but my best cards seem to have come from her sketches. I also fell in love with the whole design team and their enormous talent. In fact, I am in "awe" of their talent. I am honored to be selected as a guest designer and hope what I bring will help others want to join in this fantastic journey.
I am a mother of 2 beautiful kids ages 20 and 9. I took up card making about 1 year ago and instantly fell in love with it! I joined the Midnight Madness Challenges a few months ago and the sketches, players, and design team have really made me open up to try different things. I am really looking forward to this experience to work side by side with these ladies.
