Malavika is an  Indian actress and model.

Born on 19 July 1979 the actress is better known by her stage name Shweta Konnur.
CAREER
Malavika modelled for Fair & Lovely  and then stepped in to Telugu and Tamil cinema. At the age of 19 she made her debut with superhit film  Unnai Thedi. Her performance opposite actor Ajith was highly acknowledged. Then she appeared alongside  Ajith, Karthik and Meena in another blockbuster named  Anandha Poongatre.  And also showed her acting talent in Rojavanam.
Pooporika Varukirom was one of her flop film after all these hits.  She again came into the limelight with her acting in films like  Chandramukhi,  Chithiram Pesuthadi, and  Thiruttu Payale. Malavika also participated in stage shows like  Netru, Indru, Naalai by Mani Ratnam.

Career:
Malavika shot to fame at the age of 19 with her debut in Tamil film Unnai Thede with Ajithdirected Sundar.C through the film set andstarted a big blockbuster of hercareer, it was released in 1999. Another was hit inthe multi-rigid Anandha Poongatre Co-Star Ajith, Karthik and Meena, she let it displayed her talent as an actress in the film that established him as an actor and left him three shots Rojavanam three movies.
But her fame was short lived with the film Pooporika Varukirom. The cast even included Sivaji Ganesan but was still a flop. Her films from 2001 to 2003 were all errors at the box office, was the only exception Seenu. She wandered into Tollywood with Priya Nestama but he returned with Surya in Perazhagan in a song. In 2004, she has the chance to play along with Kamal Hassan in Vasool Raja MBBS but later in the year they had again dared to Bollywood and acted in CU at 9th
Since then her career with appearances in Chandramukhi alongside Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu and Nayantara has gone. She also appeared in an item number hit Vaala Meenukum in Chithiram Pesuthadi. She was applauded for the role they had in Thiruttu Payal, where she won in the hands of a lady in Jeevan.
She was also a part of Mani Ratnam, show Netru, Indru, Naalai.
