Kavya Madhavan hails from Nileswaram in the Kasargod district of Kerala. She entered the film industry as a child artist in the film "Pookkalam Varavayi". Later her presence in the Malayalam film industry was felt when she acted in the film "Azhakiya Ravanan" for the childhood face of the heroine Bhanupriya.
