Aramis Ramirez was recently left off the 2011 NL All Star roster. The two third baseman that will represent the senior circuit are starter Placido Polanco and Larry "Chipper" Jones. So with David Wright and Ryan Zimmerman spending most of their seasons on the DL, I think it's safe to say Ramirez has been the best third baseman in the National League so far this year. Just look at the numbers:
Player A- .277/ 4/39
Player B- .293/12/44
Player C- .256/ 7/44
Ramirez is player B. Larry is play C and Polanco is player A. Its not even close in my opinion. Ramirez leads all NL third baseman in AVG, OPS, Hits, HRs and tied for RBIs. I know the Chicago Cubs suck, but it isn’t Aramis Ramirez’ fault. He obviously has much better numbers than Polanco and I'm not even sure how Jones even makes the list for consideration.
Now Ramirez being left off the All Star voting isn't as big a snub as CC Sabathia, Paul Konerko, Andrew McCutheon or even ..... Carlos Pena. But its still an injustice and needed to be pointed out.
